Will filing a claim on my roof raise my insurance rate?
No. Rates usually are always going up; however, since the storm damage is no fault of your own, it does not affect your rate as a car wreck or ticket would. In fact, some companies will lower your rate because your home is better protected.
Why do most roofers not want to give me a price?
This is a great question and one we get asked a lot. Since your roof is the number 1 protector of your home from weather, it must be done right, or long-term problems can arise. Once we remove all your shingles, we may find other issues that need to be addressed. If we are working with your insurance company, we can take pictures of our findings and correct the problems while we are replacing the roof at the expense of the insurance company. It’s almost impossible to know what all will need to be replaced before the roof is removed.
What kind of warranty do I get?
While most architectural shingles have some kind of limited lifetime warranty we also offer a 20 year and a 50 year full replacement cost warranty for any defects on your roof. RWN ROOFING also offers its own warranty on labor and workmanship. We offer a 5 year and a 10 year warranty against leaks and any failed workmanship on our part.
