We don’t get a lot of hail in Georgia, but when we do, it can damage an entire roof in a matter of minutes. The best way to see hail is to examine the soft metals on your roof. Shingle damage by hail will have granules imparted into the shingles and mat may show through the shingle. The easiest way to know if you have damage is to schedule one of our associates to come out and examine your roof.

FAQ

Will filing a claim on my roof raise my insurance rate?

No. Rates usually are always going up; however, since the storm damage is no fault of your own, it does not affect your rate as a car wreck or ticket would. In fact, some companies will lower your rate because your home is better protected.

Why do most roofers not want to give me a price?

This is a great question and one we get asked a lot. Since your roof is the number 1 protector of your home from weather, it must be done right, or long-term problems can arise. Once we remove all your shingles, we may find other issues that need to be addressed. If we are working with your insurance company, we can take pictures of our findings and correct the problems while we are replacing the roof at the expense of the insurance company. It’s almost impossible to know what all will need to be replaced before the roof is removed.

What kind of warranty do I get?

While most architectural shingles have some kind of limited lifetime warranty we also offer a 20 year and a 50 year full replacement cost warranty for any defects on your roof. RWN ROOFING also offers its own warranty on labor and workmanship. We offer a 5 year and a 10 year warranty against leaks and any failed workmanship on our part. What happens if my claim is denied?

Whether you get a new roof or not is the opinion of the adjustor who comes to your house. Sometimes if we feel there is enough damage, we will ask for a different adjustor. Sometimes we may recommend you wait until after another storm. Very rarely are our claims denied because we don’t file claims if there is not enough damage.

Are all roofers the same? Shouldn’t I just go for the lowest price?

Roofing is typically not a “do it yourself” trade. Most individuals don’t get home and walk around on top of their roof. In fact, most people never get on the roof. There is no doubt, there are many good roofers and many bad ones. At RWN Roofing, we use the best materials on the market. We would love to have the opportunity to talk with you about what makes us different.
